Trainingslager auf Mallorca

Structure a productive camp around load, recovery, group management, fueling and Mallorca's terrain.

Define the adaptation

A camp should target endurance, climbing or race preparation—not simply maximise kilometres. Mallorca makes overload easy, so the plan needs deliberate recovery and a clear key session.

Port de Pollença and Alcúdia work for most groups because flat endurance roads and major climbs are both accessible.

Seven-day framework

Use day one for bike setup and an easy spin. Build through endurance and climbing, insert recovery before the longest ride, and keep the final day short enough for travel. Weather should override the spreadsheet.

Praktische Checkliste

  • Agree regroup points
  • Set descent rules
  • Share emergency contacts
  • Plan bottles and refill points
  • Record fatigue, not only power

Recovery is part of the camp

Carbohydrate intake should begin in the first hour. Follow rides with a full meal, hydration and sleep rather than relying on café stops alone. Riders with different training histories should not share identical load simply because they share accommodation.
