Guía MTB de Mallorca

Where to ride, what bike to bring and how to approach Mallorca's rocky mountain terrain safely.

Understand the terrain

Mallorca mountain biking is often rocky, physical and more technical than elevation profiles suggest. The Tramuntana combines old stone paths, forest roads and exposed descents; the Llevant offers drier coastal terrain.

Trail access can be complex. A guided first day reduces navigation errors and helps riders distinguish public routes from private land.

Equipment and preparation

Use reinforced tyres, dependable brakes and gearing suitable for repeated steep pitches. Knee protection is sensible for technical routes. Heat and remoteness increase the consequence of small mechanical problems.

Ride responsibly

Yield to walkers, slow through villages and avoid wet trails that are easily damaged. Keep groups small and close gates exactly as found. Technical descents should be inspected rather than ridden blind.
